Distinctive Systems Tour Booking System (TBS)
TBS has been designed from the ground up to be a fully fledged client/server system for tour, sightseeing and shuttle booking management. This not only guarantees a state-of-the-art basis for an in-house reservation system, but also, for the first time ever, provides operators with a proper foundation for hosting their own fully featured Internet booking system.

The optional TBS Web Pack, handles Internet inquiries, bookings and payments for both agents and direct clients. The Web Pack allows access to the full pricing structure created for each tour, in addition to being able to choose their room type, clients can select from a wide range of accommodation supplements and options. Where appropriate, they will also be able to choose their own seats, select a pick-up point or request a home pick-up. The Web Pack will allow clients to see their current bookings, view a statement of their account and make final balance payments online. It will also allow them to amend their contact details and submit brochure requests.

Although the Internet booking capability is an exciting step forward, of far more significance is the underlying flexibility of the TBS database design. Not only does TBS include every last feature that a coach tour operator could possibly need, but since the use of tour vehicles, seating plans and pick-up points is entirely optional, the system is also ideally suited to handling tours that aren’t coach based.

Powerful new features are capable of meeting the ever more crucial need for timely and accurate reporting. Comprehensive standard and user definable reporting facilities can, for instance, analyze tour income and keep tight control over costs in multiple currencies.

TBS is fully integrated with Coach Manager CBS our established SQL Server 2000 based charter and contract booking system.

TBS can be used with Microsoft SQL Server 2000 (Standard or Enterprise) or with Microsoft Small Business Server 2000/2003 either of which must be purchased separately. Alternatively, all but the largest operators can use it with the royalty free Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Desktop Engine (MSDE 2000) which is included with the system.

TBS runs on Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows NT 4.0, Windows ME and Windows 98.
