A single input screen is provided for the fast addition and update of assets.

Assets can be arranged in hierarchies, identifying parent/child relationships and dependencies. Each asset record contains a unique identifier and provides the user with the facility to incorporate: existing analysis codes (e.g. category, cost center, department, company), multiple description lines, purchase cost, acquisition and capitalization dates, asset life, depreciation rules, quantity, residual values, grant values and foreign currency amounts.

Transaction types include full and partial disposals, transfers, relifes, revaluations and splits. The audit file holds a history of all events in the life of an asset, identifying the user, the event date and the before and after status. Depreciation methods are completely user definable by asset, asset group and period of account. Costs are produced for past, current and future periods and years, including capital expenditure and disposals.

There are up to fifteen levels of analysis for comprehensive queries and reporting. Data links are provided to spreadsheet packages, general ledgers and management reporting tools. The register also utilizes asset tracking facilities, incorporating the leading bar-code scanning technology.
